New Superior and Council for the General Delegation
On 18 December 2015, The Superior General, with the consent of his Council, appointed Father Kieran Flynn as Superior of the General Delegation of Gt. Britain & Ireland, for a second term of office of three years, commencing on 1 January 2016. Father Desmond Connolly and Father Blaise Jailosi (seconded to the Gen. Del. of GB/I for the present) were appointed the members of Father Flynn's Council.
MenuThe Vice-Province becomes a General Delegation
On 11 December 2015, the status of the Vice-Province of Gt. Britain & Ireland was changed to that of a General Delegation. This change had been requested by the members of the Vice-Province and approved by the Extraordinary General Council of the Congregation held in Loreto, Italy, in October 2015. The reason for the change is the reduction in numbers in the entity and the advancing age of those members who are left. The change means that the entity comes directly under the Superior General and his Council, who will appoint the Superior of the Delegation and his Councillors, after consultation of the members of the entity. It makes it easier to find men who can be made the Superior of the entity.
St. Joseph's, Ashurst
The 'Geo House' project is coming to an end, and our house in Ashurst is henceforth to be known as The St. Joseph's Centre for Prayer and Missionary Outreach. Many aspects of the ministry of Geo House will continue, and will be augmented, we hope, by an influx of Montfort Missionaries from other provinces. New Superior and Council for Vice-Province
A new Superior has been appointed to the Vice-Province, following the death of Fr. Ronnie Mitchell. He is Father Kieran Flynn, SMM, and he will be assisted by a Council of two, Fr. Desmond Connolly and Fr. Robert Douglas.

General Chapter 2011 - New General Administration
In May 2011, a General Chapter of the Company of Mary was held in Rome, during which a new General Administration was elected to govern the Congregation for the next six years. The Superior General, re-elected for a second term of office, is Italian Montfort Missionary, Fr. Santino BREMBILLA. His four Counsellors are: Fr. Georges MADORE (from the Canadian Vice-Province), Fr. Jorge Enrique GONZÁLEZ VÁSQUEZ (of the Colombian Province), Fr. Luigi GRITTI (of the Italian Province) and Fr. Yoseph PUTRA DWI DARMA WATUN (of the Indonesian Vice-Province).
